..because the world's 36 million blind are not an endless pool of need,
but a vast reservoir of potential disciplemakers.

Cataracts (of a different sort)
Unbelievers often point, accurately and in horror, to a God of wrath in Scripture - finally consuming His enemies, and burning away all that defiles with utter and complete judgment.

We, on the other hand, as we journey on, learning more of our own sin, come to delight and seek refuge in a God of endless "70x7" mercy and grace.
A mighty cataract or waterfall pours over and streams away.
The old Puritans* struggled to wrap their minds around the astounding, profligate favor of God and often resorted to images of mighty waters:

Grace cataracts from heaven and flows forever, and mercy never wearies in bestowing benefits.

Pour down upon me streams of needful grace...

Waves gently break over rocks on the beach under a beautiful sunset.

From Calvary's cross, wave upon wave of grace reaches me,
deals with my sin,
washes me clean,
renews my heart,
strengthens my will,
draws out my affection,
kindles a flame in my soul,
rules throughout my inner man...
The spillway tubes of the Hoover dam are opened, sending out two massive jets of water.

So what makes sense of this wrath and this grace?

Only a God who is infinite in both holiness and mercy, and only Jesus, who transfers us from the domain of wrath to that of grace, in which we now stand.

Christ...the fountainhead of descending blessings...a wide open flood-gate of mercy.
A full-featured MegaVoice player.
And how will men learn of Him? Through His Word.

And how, for the blind? For most, only with audio. Which is why we put so much effort into Scripture in heart languages, via radio, cellphone, or audio player.

Through a partnership with MegaVoice, we now stock both their full-featured players and our own low-cost players. Working with various Bible providers, we are getting access to additional heart-language Bible materials for one or both players, to be made available soon at our GospelAudio.org site.
A dozen colorful, low-cost SeedPlayer players.
We have begun to ship players to both blind and sighted users, sending samples out, as well as a few to individual blind or visually-impaired folk, and a number to Haiti. We are beginning to work with other ministries, like Audio Scripture Ministries. A colorful shipment to an inner-city Indianapolis youth ministry (in English and Spanish) is ready to go out. In the near future, we hope to send some to the Philippines, Russia, and Lord willing, a blind school in Mozambique.

Please pray that we would have wisdom in all these things. If you know of others with whom we should connect, please reach out.

May you be refreshed by Christ's mighty waters.
